CONTINUOUS PAYMENT POLICY

By signing up, and agreeing to be a Member of Our services, You are providing Us with a Continuous Payment Authority (“CPA”), to allow Us to collect payments automatically from Your bank account using the debit or credit card that You provided for this purpose.

You may be entitled to a Trial Membership period, the details of which are located on the Website that You were shown or marketed to at the time of Your initial sign up to be a Member of Our services. In accordance with Our Terms of Use and the policy accessed via the link at the bottom of the Website named Refund Policy, a Member can cancel anytime.

The applicable monthly Membership Fee, as given in the site footer, is payable in advance and will be automatically charged at the end of any Free Trial Period that was offered at the time of sign-up, (Free Trial Periods are offered at MediaBlanket Ltd/Credit Knowledge's sole discretion and will be specified when You are registering for an account; if a Free Trial Period is not specified, one is not being offered), or on renewal by use of CPA. At the end of any applicable trial period or at the time of sign-up, (according to the subscription details provided in the site footer), Your card will be charged the subscription fee specified in the site footer, and Your card will be charged for Your subscription at the frequency specified in the site footer until cancelled.  You can cancel Your membership and stop the billing by contacting Us via the methods outlined here. You will not be eligible for a pro-rated refund of Your current subscription period’s membership fee.

In the event that Your payment source is unable to process the membership fee or is no longer in good standing as a result of insufficient available credit of funds, at Our discretion, We may divide the total membership fee into incremental charges in order to process the total membership fee, and keep Your membership enabled.

Should the attempt for the charge of the agreed upon Membership Fee at the end of any applicable Trial Period or renewal be unsuccessful, at Our discretion We may make attempts to contact You by phone, email and / or text message to find out why You have been unable to meet the obligations of Your Membership Fee. The absence of such contact does not relieve the Member of the obligation to pay the Membership Fee.

In the instance that We are unable to determine a method for You to pay Your membership fees, We shall be permitted to use CPA to make up to five (5) further attempts for the full membership fee. For the avoidance of doubt, in the effort to enable You to fulfil Your agreement to pay the membership fee for the services rendered, We will use commercially reasonable efforts to use the schedule below:

  • One attempt will be made the first Friday following the end of the Trial Period
  • One attempt will be made on each of the four (4) following Fridays after the attempt set out in the previous point

During this time, Your access to the Service may be suspended pending receipt of the Membership Fee.

Until payment has been received in full, an alternative payment plan has been agreed or the limit of 5 further attempts has been reached (at which point Membership is terminated) the attempts as set out above will continue.

To cancel this CPA, You may ask us to cancel this using the contact details provided above, or by contacting Your bank directly. It is important to note that if You do cancel, You will still owe any outstanding membership fees as agreed, and Your access to the Service will be terminated. Cancellation of the CPA is effective from the date We receive the notification.

Credit Knowledge and MediaBlanket Ltd may increase or decrease the Membership Fee on fourteen days' notice on the Website and by notice by email or letter to the Member. If the Member does not agree with any such change, the Member may terminate this Agreement by: -

  • calling us at 0161 711 0420
  • emailing on hello@creditknowledge.co.uk, (this is the only monitored email inbox; please do not use ANY other email address)
  • writing to us at Cancellations, MediaBlanket Ltd t/a CreditKnowledge.co.uk, The Old Bank, 247 Chapel Street, Salford, M3 5EP.

If a Member chooses to send their cancellation by post, a charge may be incurred if the cancellation is received outside of any valid Trial Period that may have been associated with the Member’s Membership; we may provide a partial refund with reference to the date stamp appearing on the envelope at our sole discretion, otherwise the full month’s Membership Fee will be chargeable and only then will the cancellation take effect.
